On Saturday 9th February I went on a trip to the Duke Of Lancaster Regiment Museum (Aka the infantry museum) with cadets at Preston Fulwood Barack’s. The Dukes Of Lancaster Regiment is my detachment’s Regiment so that’s why we went. We got taken on a tour around the museum and I found the museum very interesting, we went into different rooms such as the chapel and the Somme and I tried old solider clothing from WW1. I was actually surprised that Fulwood Barack’s has been open since the 19th century and there is some of the original structure that still remains. There was even a Duke Of Lancaster souvenir shop selling bullets with a key ring! We managed to see current soldiers from the medical regiment. I have attached some pictures of my experience at the museum.
